This design was inspired by the 2000 year-old weaving history of the Zapotec Indians of Oaxaca, Mexico. The Zapotecs already had a tradition of weaving colorful cotton cloth when the Spanish conquistadores arrived with sheep, the spinning wheel and the shuttle loom. Soon they were weaving beautiful designs in wool using natural dyes. Pendleton's blanket captures the classic geometric designs and elegant simplicity inherent in Zapotec weaving. Unnapped with sueded trim. 82% pure virgin wool/ 18% cotton. Made in the USA! Dry clean only.
