Pendleton Gatekeeper Blanket
Product Description
The Gatekeeper blanket is an original Pendleton design from 1935. It is a beautiful example of a Center Point pattern which contains a central design element that falls within a band through the center of the blanket. An 8-point star is a central figure. The star is a common design element among the Sioux, Lakota, Dakota and Nakoda, and often represents the morning star. The 8-point star, gatekeeper of the morning, shows the way to the light and knowledge of the day. Unnapped and bound with felt. 82% pure virgin wool/18% cotton. Dry Clean only. Made in the USA.
