The Santa Fe Trail blanket combines classic pueblo colors of dark rust, gold, dark teal and camel from an early Pendleton design which honors the tradition of trade routes in the American west. Celebrate the 175th Anniversary of the Santa Fe Trail with the inaugural blanket of the series, Santa Fe Trail honors the tradition of trade routes in the United States. For design inspiration, Ms. Sakiestewa chose a classic element from an early Pendleton blanket and expanded it with her aesthetic vocabulary into an eloquent concert of rust, gold, turquoise, cream, brown and tan hues. A portion of the sale of this blanket supports the National Park Service.
